The Crossing

Fiteni were honoured to have The Crossing recognised as a Finalist in the Residential Subdivision category of the 2018 UDIA Queensland Awards for Excellence.

Located at Redland Bay, The Crossing consists of 100 lots in a peaceful bushland setting.

The 12ha infill site was one of the last undeveloped opportunities remaining in northern Redland Bay. With local Council and community input sought early in the process, Fiteni prepared a plan for a new community that responded to the concerns of the existing local community, successfully transformed.

Fiteni transformed a significant stormwater constraint into a vibrant central landscape corridor, providing the community with a high-quality 4.5ha riparian open space corridor inclusive of a recreated 575m long waterway, 1km of new pedestrian and cycle paths, 1.6ha of formal parkland providing diverse recreational opportunities including children’s play parks, a 4000m2 kick-a-ball space and small intimate parkland pockets along the fringe of the corridor.

The central corridor and surrounding bushland created two discreet neighbourhoods that feel close to nature and reflect the bushland character of Redland Bay.
