At Fiteni, we believe in building more than just homes – we build communities. And in times of need, strong communities come together. When Redland City Council needed a temporary location for a disaster recovery waste transfer station, we were more than willing to help.
Following recent severe weather events, many Redlands residents were left dealing with storm debris and food spoilage. As part of the region’s Disaster Recovery Plan, Council required a suitable site for locals to safely and efficiently dispose of their food and green waste. Fiteni stepped up, offering the Botanix site as a solution.
From Tuesday, 11th March, through to Monday, 18th March, the site was open to the public, free of charge, ensuring that residents could clear their properties quickly and effectively. See Redland City Council’s post-cyclone event waste plan here.
Supporting the Community Beyond Construction
For over 45 years, Fiteni has been dedicated to creating high-quality, master-planned communities that enhance the Redlands lifestyle. But our commitment goes beyond development – we genuinely care about the people who live here.
By providing the Botanix site for this important community initiative, we reaffirmed our values of integrity, teamwork, and loyalty to the Redlands. While Council managed the operations, we were proud to play a role in helping local families recover from the storm’s impact.
Looking Ahead: A Shared Vision for Botanix
The Botanix site is an area with great potential – both as a space that can support the community in times of need and as a future master-planned development that will deliver quality homes and open green spaces for Redlands families.
Our assistance during the disaster recovery effort reflects the way we approach all our projects: with a deep respect for the region, a commitment to working together, and a vision for a better future. As we continue planning for Botanix, we hope to see the same spirit of collaboration and support from the community and Council alike.
